Printing at home is convenient but do remember the quality of the final print out will depend on the quality of your printer and the paper. For a professional result you could get them printed at Officeworks or VistaPrint.
Paper weight – the higher the weight the thicker the paper. For example 150gsm is a good weight for a flyer. 300gsm is a good weight for an announcement or invitation.
If you don’t need to print the invitations out, you can take a snapshot or capture a screenshot to either send via email or post it on social media. This can save you a lot of time and money in printing costs (ink, paper, envelopes) and postage fees.

Use a pre-designed background image
We also have a unique range of ready-made invitation or announcement background images. Import the image and add your own text in software or apps such as Word, PowerPoint, Indesign, Canva, Social Media etc.

Follow this simple step-by-step guide for uploading our pre-designed background graphics to Canva to create your own original announcements and invitations.
Canva is online software to use on your computer or you can download the app to your iPhone or iPad. It is a great way to create your own custom invitations, announcements and posts, and is used by both non-designers as well as professionals. As with any creative design, selecting layouts, fonts, and images can be time consuming when there are so many options!
Step One
Open Canva and select ‘Create Invitation or Social Media’ option.
Step Two
Click the ‘Uploads’ tab to browse to your saved image/s. Select it and click open.

Step Three
When it has uploaded, drag it onto the main area and make any size adjustments.

Step Four
Click the ‘Text’ tab and add preset text or your own text – try out the fonts, change the size, move them around … There are stacks of fonts to suit your style and you can make lots of adjustments to the size, colour, line height, spacing, alignment, and position of your words to make it look perfect.

Step Five
Saving happens automatically so now you can share and download – it’s that simple! The PDF option is best for printing. The JPEG is smaller and better for use on the social media and email.
